Minutes on November 8, 2012, a regular meeting of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 125. Held at the Veterans Memorial Hall, 554 Rio Lindo Ave, Chico, CA.
The meeting was called to order at 7 P.M. by the Commander, David Heise.
The following officers were present:
Commander: David Heise
Sr. Vice Commander: Thomas Roda
Jr. Vice Commander: James Wolske
Adjutant: Robert Berry
Treasurer: Richard Sengo
Chaplian: Dr. Dale Ritter
Chaplian: Jim Strickland
Membership Chairman: Frank Bedene
O.O.D & Legislative Chairman: Hank Snow
Sgt. at Arms: Michael Zystra
Excused: Chaplian Jim Strickland
Prayer provided by Chaplian Dr. Dale Ritter, MD
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States, was said.
No deseased members reported; so, the Charter wasn't drapped.
The Roll Call of Officers was taken.
The minutes were read and approved.
The Treasurer’s Report was given by Richard Sengo.
The Rehab. account total Beginning $ 33.38 Ending 33.38
General Account Beginning $1,660.58 Ending $1,612.77 Actual, due to checks not cleared, $882.70
Petty Cash Fund: $111.00
The Chaplian reported no members suffering from sickness or destress.
Communications: Will Moseley of Magalia needed transportation to Mather for two outpatient proceedures (VA Medical in Chico won't transport; because, he lives in Magalia). He is willing to pay for gas.
Old Business: None
New Business: Veterans Parade Nov. 12 in Corning
It was brought up two types of fundraisers we could do was a Texas Holdem tournament (uncertain if the county would allow it) and "Welcome Home Hero's" using orange poppies available from a person in gridley. These would have to be approved by DAV State and are currently done in Marysville/Yuba City.
There was a moment of Silence for our departed Comrades.
The hand salute was given.
The Good of the Order.
The Final prayer was given by Chaplain Dr. Dale Ritter, MD
The motion to adjourn was given by Tony Nikosia and seconded by James Wolsky at 8:08 pm.
