Hello Everyone,
Mike Ritter, Chaplain Dr. Ritter M.D.'s son, wants to plan a fishing derby at Collins Lake for trout for us; or possibly entering a tournament. I looked up some current rates for camping and boat rentals. Fishing boat rental looks to be reasonable, and comes with a full tank of gas. Mike will be speaking at our upcoming meeting and we will discuss all this.

This Thursday's meeting, April 11. 2013, is the last time to nominate Officers. During May meeting we will vote and install Officers. So far, all current Officers, in positions not appointed, have stated they will run again. Hope everyone can make both meetings!
We will be having a Fund Raiser, 24 May and 25 May 2013, and in accordance with DAV National Bylaws, the DAV State has been advised of this (all we are required to do; as far, as the Bylaws mention). Hope everyone can help out with this (if your busy, it only will be for two days ... a couple of hours would be greatly appreciated).
Due to insufficient available funds (we have been spending approx. $800/yr to send out newsletters) you will notice this is only being sent out to members who have attended meetings the last few months, at a savings of over $100 to the Chapter. Hope no one feels left out.
