Another source for glasses, besides the VA, is the Lions Club in Chico, which meets at the Chico IHOP, 7 am, every Tuesday.

Nov. 4, 2012 5 year Anniversary of Opening of the New Memorial Hall will be celebrated at the Hall from 3 - 6 pm.
Nov. 8, 2012 DAV Ch. 125 meeting. Doors open at 1830 hrs. (6:30pm) Opening Ceremonies at 1900 hrs. (7pm).
Nov. 10, 2012 NorCal Roller Girls vs. Central Coast Roller Derby, 7pm @ Cal Skate, Chico. Free admission to Active Duty Military and Veterans with ID. Prices for others are: presale $10 adults; $6.00 children and can be purchased from Rollergirls, Cal Skate, Funky Trunk or online at wepay.com/events/ncrgnov Tickets are $12.00 at the door. Nov. 11, 2012 Armistice Day - the "eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month" of 1918 marked the end of WW1. Now it's Veterans Day. Veterans Day Celebration will be at the Chico Elks Lodge, 1705 Manzanita Ave., 343-1431, at 1 - 4 pm.
Applebees, 2030 Business Lane, Chico, close to Walmart, will be having free meals for Veterans, from a selection similar to last year. They are open 11 am to 10 pm. They will ask for proof your a Veteran.
Dec. 7, 2012. Pearl Harbor Day, "A day the will live in Infamy", Pearl Harbor, HI was attacked by the Japanese. 2,402 Americans were killed and 1,282 wounded.
There is no meeting scheduled for Chico DAV #125 in December. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah (Festival of Lights), and Happy New Year.
