General Account Beginning $ 1,310.52 Ending $ 1,310.52
The Chaplain reported no members suffering from sickness or destress.
There was no old business.
New Business
Carlos Castle resigned as Adjutant of DAV Chapter 125, Chico CA. I, James Wolske brought up the issues of do we move forward with the DAV Chapter 125 and have an Adjutant, if not we need to see about merging with Corning or Paradise; or, if not the last option is to have all the members become members at large. I talked to the Commander Jack Hill from Corning he said they would take us if we needed to merge with them.
I read the letter that DAV State gave me of how to merge with another Chapter, put it in the newsletter.
If a veteran wanted to go to Paradise or Corning now, they can they just have to get the approval of both the Commanders and then go to that Chapter. (this isn't necessary; they just go to the other Chapter and the Adjutant has to submit a transfer).
Ron Matheson brought up the issue of it's not clear what's in the newsletter. I read the newsletter out loud to the group. DAV Chapter 125 needs help to have the group go forward.
The Group descussed a few different fund raisers and the Forget Me Not drive.
Robert Berry stated he wanted to see the Chapter go on or move forward.
Ron Matheson made a motion; 2nd by Frank Bedene to approve us going forward and remaining a Chapter here in Chico. Voted for and approved.
We descussed the Golf Tournament, and how it failed, and what we needed to do in the future.
I asked Robert Berry if he wanted to be the Adjutant, and he said yes.
Ron Matheson stated Commander David Heise, and Treasurer Richard Sengo, didn't care about the chapter. Richard was laughing and stated "it will only last three months".
There was a moment of Silence for our departed Comrades.
The hand salute was given.
The Good of the Order.
The Final prayer was given by Chaplain Robert Berry
The motion to adjourn was given by (unknown) and seconded by (unknown) at 8:32 pm.
Respectfully Submitted,
James Wolske
Acting Adjutant
